"A bar of gold in the new depression" - Hilton Als, The New Yorker

Justin Bond, star of John Cameron Mitchell's SHORTBUS, 2009 nominee for the GLAAD Awards and one half of Tony nominated performance duo Kiki and Herb, began writing songs while straddling a log on a mountain in Tennessee on Mayday of last year and has been touring with his band to wild acclaim and rapturous applause ever since.

RITES OF SPRING is a celebration in story and song of rebirth, regeneration and just plain old fashioned spring fever -and you know what that means... Combining cabaret, witchcraft, a punk attitude and neo-folk glamour this show promises tears, glitter and a rollicking good time!

Opening the night, Hand2Mouth Company Member Faith Helma will be performing from her solo show UNDINE. Dubbed an “electro-sorceress of sound” by the Seattle Times, Helma’s performance is inspired by an obscure fairy-tale water nymph and the myth of the self-destructive rock star. Like Cat Power, Elliot Smith, Janis Joplin and Kurt Cobain, Undine is a fierce, fragile being lost between night and the dawn of day.
